Prior to device-side playlisting, the network was manually executed using automation sheets. It would conservatively take an hour per automation sheet to build and brief. The projection line extrapolates this with the growth of the network based on the volume of campaigns managed.
The move from legacy campaigns to device-side playlisting streamlined execution, replacing the previous approach where multiple legacy campaigns were required to fulfil a single booked campaign on the network.
Note: Stitched content refers to user-uploaded content that is either manually playlisted or playlisted via automation sheets. In some cases, this process can be as granular as creating a playlist per store to ensure the required combination of content is played at each location.
The Content Review Agent performs media review while simultaneously vectorizing the content for indexing and analysis.
The migration to in-store Wi-Fi marked a major milestone, enabling the product to be onboarded onto retailer networks and leverage their reliability. This replaces cellular connectivity, which is often best-effort and inconsistent. Following the transition in October, we observed a clear reduction in reported tickets.
Using the same growth rate as this year, we can project this impact across the Tesco network into next year and estimate the hours saved, along with reductions in store visits and store phone calls.
